London

Life has sure kicked me in the teeth. After I’m arrested for stealing, I’m given two choices: prison or get shipped to the human settlement on the planet Tavikh. Since orange isn’t my color, I guess off-planet it is.

Except when our ship lands we’re attacked by vicious aliens no one warned us about. I’m suddenly rethinking my decision. Just as I swear I’m about to die, a towering alien with long, flowing golden hair and muscles rippling beneath gorgeous purple skin saves me.

When the battle is over and the good guys seem to have won, my savior tells me I’m his fated mate.

I hate to break it to him, but I don’t believe in fate.

Zander

As shefir of the Tavikhi, it’s my duty to lead our tribe and fight against the Krijese. When word comes that another Terran ship has arrived, we rush to defend them against our brutal enemies.

I’m unprepared, though, for my mating marks to burn and brighten in color when I rescue one of the human females. Is it truly possible that the goddess, Deeka, has chosen her as my keeshla—my fated mate?

Despite her continued denial of the mate bond, the attraction between us flares hotter than our sun. I must do everything to convince her that we are fated to be together. Even seduce her.

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . FATED TO THE ALIEN WARRIOR (Warriors of Tavikh, #1) . . . London was a woman all alone in the world. She did something that was wrong and was dealt a hand she took a gamble on. The gamble start off a little rocky but she comes out of it all with a found family. She finds her tribe. She finds her strength. She finds a mate. London was one of a small ground of young women bound for the planet Tavikh. There were promised a plot of land and a fresh start. Arriving they are greeted by something much more than a fresh start. Aliens. Purple aliens. Aliens that want to kill them. Just as London thought it was no way to get worse. She stumbles and falls.

Zander was the leader of his tribe of people. He was determined to save the human settlement from the outside forces working to extinguish them. Zander struggled with his own problems. He missed his family. He worried over his baby brother that has gone missing. He worried if he would ever find his fated mate. He worried for the future of his people. He worried of the blatant disregard of a rival tribe encroachment on the neutral lands and their protection of the humans. He finds his mate in the pursuit to protect the new arrivals from a savage slaughter.

Zander has to overcome the shock of things that London has experienced. London has to come to terms that the fresh start she was promised was not the case. She has to understand she is the human mate to an alien warrior. She has more than herself to think of. She has her found family and just common human decency.

I loved the different characteristics of the women. I loved that they took the time to connect with each other and make a bond. I like the interest that has been woven into the first installment of the Warriors of Tavikh series. I look forward to the next installation.

Two guards at the gated entrance greet us. Their eyes widen at the humans behind me and follow us with their gazes when we walk past. I release another call of the mellenje, and two females come rushing forward to meet us part way to the central fire.

“The healer’s apprentice will take the injured female to the healer. Please provide the others with furs for sleeping. Until tomorrow, they can sleep in the supply tent.”

“Yes, Shefir.” They dip their heads and gather the human females with soft whispers.

The six of them move away from us, although two of the human females glance over their shoulder at London, who attempts to follow. I wrap my tail around her waist to stop her. If only I could keep her in my embrace always. She jerks and gazes up at me with a wrinkle between her eyes as well as a question in them.

“You will sleep in my tent.”

She opens her mouth and I tug her against me, which has her promptly closing it again. I nearly groan in pleasure as her hands rise to my chest, and my mating marks burn and flare to life. Her gaze drops to them before she lifts it to meet mine.

“You are my keeshla and will become the Shefira of our village. My tent is where you belong and where you will sleep.”
