BLURB

“An action-packed series full of adventures, romance and fun! If you want a fantasy world with sexy times, this series is for you.” -Rosee Reads

Gage runs the L’Griffe, AKA the dragon shifter mafia on Earth. Since the human realm has no supernatural police, the L’Griffe do more than loan money or sell contraband. When it comes to dragon shifters, the L’Griffe are the law. And Gage isn’t the only sheriff in town, either. Other secret groups have their own gangs, including ghouls, demons, and everything in between. It’s an awkward balance, but it works.

Until the demons consolidate into the Horde. This alliance plans to take over Earth, and that’s just for starters.

Now Gage must build his own connections to fight this new threat. Fortunately, Gage’s true love, Huntress, comes from a family of superhuman warriors. All of them agree to team up and put down the Horde. Success seems just around the corner.

Then the truth becomes clear.

Thanks to magical cloning, the Horde is led by an old enemy of Huntress’ family—one that everyone thought had been destroyed forever. Now their archnemesis is back and more powerful than anyone could have imagined.

Looks like defeating these demons may also destroy Gage, Huntress, and everyone they love.

Don’t miss the exciting conclusion to the Angelbound Offspring Series!

BLURB

As Queen of Antrum, I rule an underground realm of demon hunters who love finding new caves. Hey, it’s boring down here; I’m glad they all have a hobby. Per usual, I try to act interested about their latest discovery, but all I hear is blah blah blah new cavern blah blah blah Forbidden Tombs blah blah blah massive bronze pyramids blah blah blah creepy ticking sounds. It’s a little odd, but I’m not worried.

My bad.

Suddenly, the Forbidden Tombs burst through the ground in my home realm of Purgatory. Bronze pyramids smash through abandoned buildings and highways, making rush hour a nightmare. Even worse, the metal structures attract tiny lightning bolts called igni, which are my very special supernatural buddies. Within minutes, every last igni gets stolen away.

Now. I’m. Pissed.

Whoever hides inside those pyramids? Time to dust off your mummies and shine up your sarcophagi. Because my husband, Lincoln, and I are breaking in and kicking ass.

I have to say that after just the first few chapters I got a good dose of Myla's reality and a world still full of action and adventure. Myla's has a darn good new battle on her hands and her mad is a sight to behold. I love going on adventures with Myla and Lincoln.

There is not time like the present to jump on the action adventure fantasy with Myla, Queen of Antrum and a** kicking.

READ-2-REVIEW - YA PARANORMAL - FIRE AND CINDER (Fairy Tales of the Magicorum, #6) by Christina Bauer

Fire And Cinder
Fairy Tales of the Magicorum, #6
by Christina Bauer
Publication date: February 23rd 2021
Published by: Monster House Books
Genres: Paranormal, Young Adult

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . FIRE AND CINDER (Fairy Tales of the Magicorum, #6) . . . Who said once you get your prince the fight would be over? That was just a myth told to allow you to feel comfortable. Pat Benatar said it best, "Love is a battlefield..." A battle is just what Ella will have to go through to get to her prince charming, Alec. Then we have to add in her step sister Agatha and of course her drama that goes along with it. You will find that there are some things that you just have to see for yourself and others that just can't be faked. You will get a few surprises along the way to the fairy tale ending of this modern day fairy tale. Not all boundaries can or should be crossed. You must understand that sometimes the battles within are much harder than a physical obstacle.

CB gave us another hit out of the park. This time around Ella, Alec, Agatha, Jacoby, and others find that their lives are not scripted. It's coming at them full force in some cases and just the sneak attack in others. I highly recommend picking up the sixth installment in the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum. If you are new to the series go ahead try this one first, but I tell you will want to start all over at the beginning of this series and see all the things that made this fairy tale more than just another bedtime story.

BLURB

Meet the Magicorum: modern folks who are supernaturally locked into fairy tale life templates. For eighteen-year-old Elle, that role is Cinderella. Meanwhile, Agatha is her evil stepsister. Things go downhill from there…

Cinderella On The Run

Elle—never call her Cinderella—has found the love of her life in Alec Le Charme, the prince of a jewelry dynasty. But when Alec gets spirited away, Elle must ditch her Manhattan home for the perilous Faerie Lands. To save Alec, Elle must also swap her glass slippers for a flying carpet. But will switching templates from Cinderella to Aladdin snap Elle’s sanity?

Whatever. Bring on the straight jacket. Elle is one Cinderella who’s determined to save her prince, no matter what.

Evil Stepsister or Elf Queen?

Agatha always accepted her role as Elle’s evil stepsister. Then her life template changes from nasty sibling to evil elf queen. Agatha has one thought on that score. Thanks but no thanks. Agatha refuses the regal life, even though stepping away from her crown means ignoring her lifelong attraction to the elf prince, Jacoby.

Then everything changes. Agatha discovers that Elle’s life is at risk… and the only way to save her Cinderella is by teaming up with Jacoby. Trouble is, that’s a lot of togetherness. Working with Jacoby could easily end in disaster, not only for Agatha’s heart, but also for Elle and Alec’s lives.

REA-2-REVIEW - YA FANTASY - ECHO Academy (Dimension Drift, #2) by Christina Bauer

ECHO ACADEMY
Dimension Drift, #2
by Christina Bauer
April 28th 2020
Monster House Books
Genre: Young Adult, Dystopian, Fantasy

“Christina Bauer has a gift with sucking you into a story and not letting go until the final sentence is over. This was one of those stories.” – The Book Herald

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . ECHO ACADEMY (Dimension Drift, #2) . . . Highly advised to read the prior books (including the prequel). This series is awesome. Full with futuristic, science fiction, depth and detail. This group of young adults put on a show that will have you wanting so much more.

Meimi, Thorne, Cole, Chloe, Zoe, and even Conway find a way to pierce you. Whether it be by falling for them, hating them, trying to figure them out, or just seeing where things will go. I learned with the prequel you get a lot of what you didn't know you were looking for. Meimi is a very strong, independent, resourceful young woman. She finds a way to make it happen. She does not give up.

Christina Bauer finds a way to give you a story that invites you to become friends with her and all the characters she create. You fall in love with the vividness of the worlds she creates and invites you to explore.

Having this latest installment in the Dimension Drift gave me an extra high during this time of lock-in for most of the country/world. Come on in and explore a new different world and allow your mind to be free.

BLURB
Our heroine Meimi Archer has been assigned to attend ECHO Academy. There, the evil Headmaster believes that Meimi will help the government conquer other dimensions.

But Meimi and her friends have some very different ideas. They’re starting a revolution.

That is, if the Headmaster doesn’t find out and murder them first.

“If you like books set in a dystopian futuristic society then you are going to LOVE Alien Minds.” – The Avid Reader

READ-2-REVIEW - YA PARANORMAL FANTASY - TRICKSTER (Anglebound Lincoln, #3) by Christina Bauer

Trickster
(Angelbound Lincoln, #3)
by Christina Bauer
Publication date: February 25th 2020
Published by: Monster House Books
Genres: Fantasy, Paranormal, Young Adult

***A hilarious adventure after the events of Angelbound SCALA … and it’s all from Prince Lincoln’s point of view!!!***

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . TRICKSTER (Angelbound Lincoln, #3) . . . By no means am I saying that you have to go back and read SCALA or even Duty Bound or Lincoln, but that would make you fully appreciate the thoughts and antics of what you will encounter with Lincoln's new book. I found this one to be a great addition to the world of Angelbound.

Add this one to you shelf to read, currently reading, or read. For lovers of YA,NA, Fantasy, Paranormal will find this one a must have and a great addition. This one held lots of laughs expected and unexpected.

BLURB
With the drama of the Soul Towers and Lucifer’s Orb behind them, Myla and Lincoln look forward to sharing some quality time. Perhaps they’ll even do a ‘regular couple thingie’ like a dinner date. Or they could kill more demons together. Myla isn’t picky.

Then a trickster gets released inside Antrum’s secure borders. And by trickster, we’re talking a giant orange monkey with magical powers and a love of causing drama with uptight thrax.

Looks like date night is on hold.

READ-2-REVIEW - YA FANTASY - ZINNIA (Angelbound Offspring, #3) by Christina Bauer

Zinnia
(Angelbound Offspring, #3)
by Christina Bauer
Publication date: July 30th 2019
Published by: Monster House Books
Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . ZINNIA (Angelbound Offspring, #3) . . . Just me thinking and writing. I so, hope that you have read the first two books of this series. It was not a requirement, but let me say that it would most certainly allow for you to have a deeper connection to sweet Zinnia and the other characters that you meet. I loved Angelbound Origins and even with more being added to their story it makes the world that Christina Bauer built come alive with life having real exchanges and constant ebbs and flows. Now, with the the Angelbound Offspring spin-off series, we get a deeper look at the world, the lives, the characters, the children. I for one have very much enjoyed each and every step of the way. With the tap of the screen and the changing of the page, I fell more in love with sweet, soft, little Zinnia. I implore you too to come and see what the big deal is all about.

I so do not like giving things away especially when the journey for yourself will be more enjoyable exploring it all on your own. Dragons will always be my most favorite of the paranormal/fantasy worlds species. And meeting Zinnia was just icing on a cake that I did not even realize I was wanting to take a huge bite out of. Watching Zinnia believe she would die in a matter of days to discovering that she was not alone in the world. She was not the only living dragon. She was not alone. She was so much more than her handlers told her. As she discovery the truth the world she knows and doesn't know open up a new set of possibilities.

BLURB
As the last dragon shifter, I live alone, hiding in one of Earth’s sacred deserts. My human handlers tell me that I have no parents, no name, and no purpose other than to train for battle and one day become a vessel for the reincarnation of Chimera, the greatest dragon shifter of all. Sadly, Chimera’s rebirth will mean my own death. But my handlers say this sacrifice is a noble fate that will rebuild the dragon shifter world.

I shall die on my seventeenth birthday. That’s five days from now.

Then I hear music thumping across the desert. I take my mortal form, follow the sound, and find humans dancing in what they call a rave. There is a stage and a rock band. One thing quickly becomes clear: Unlike the audience, the musicians are dragon shifters, just like me. And one of them, the guitar player Rhodes, makes my knees turn watery. The lead singer, Kaps, has something strangely familiar about her.

It all adds up to one conclusion: My handlers lied to me. I’m not the last of my kind. Memories reappear. I had parents once. Portia and Tempest. I even had a name. Zinnia. Perhaps I have a reason to live as well. I step past the dancing humans to confront the players.

I will find out the full truth, no matter what.

READ-2-REVIEW - YA SCI-FI - Alien Minds (Dimension Drift,#1) by Christina Bauer

 Alien Minds
Dimension Drift,#1
by Christina Bauer
Publication date: April 23rd 2019
Published by: Monster House Books
Genres: Science Fiction, Young Adult

DIVERGENT meets OCEAN’S EIGHT in this urban fantasy heist!

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . ALIEN MINDS (Dimension Drift, #1) . . . I not going to say that you should have reads the prequels first, but I just saying. The prequels give you so much more insight to the two rich and wonderful characters that you fall in love with. The awareness of this young woman upon waking up and not recognizing her surroundings. She's there but not really there. She was determined, smart, strong, and I would even call it a bit intuitive.
I found that the dynamic  between Thorne and Meimi was still there even if she really didn't understand why. She could feel that connection and it was not exactly comforting to her but in a way it was. Thorne was determined to be there for her not matter what. He was there but at a distance. I fell for him even more. He knew what she needed but was not forcing it on her.

Come take this journey with with Meimi and Thorne as they battle the course of actions taken to set them on the path of which they find themselves. Christina Bauer has brought to me another thrilling adventure. The layers of the dimension created pulls you in and lures you in to go further. I look forward to more for both Meimi and Thorne. I want more. I want to be taking on the drift.

BLURB
On my seventeenth birthday, I wake up in the hospital to find I just survived a sketchy but terrible accident. My parents stand by my bedside—both are beautiful, wealthy, and super-nice. They tell me that once I leave the hospital, I’ll attend the prestigious ECHO Academy, where I’ll churn out equations for the government along with my mega-smart peers.

So, I’m living the perfect life.

Then why does everything feel all wrong?

My parents, my house and even ECHO Academy…none of it fits. Plus, what’s up with Thorne, my brooding yet yummy classmate who keeps telling me I need to remember my true past, which seems to have included a lot of us kissing? That’s one thing I’d really like to remember, except for the fact that I’m pretty sure Thorne is hiding a ton of nasty secrets of his own, including the fact that he may not be from this world. But considering how my own past seems alien to me, it’s not like I can judge. Plus, Thorne has dimples. That’s a problem.

And worst of all, why does it feel so yucky to work on these calculations for the government? It’s all supposed to be part of ECHO, but my heart tells me that I’m helping something truly terrible come to pass. Thorne seems to think that kissing him again will release my real memories.

Maybe it’s time to pucker up.

“Appealing and engaging. Love the strong female character!” – Arlene’s Book Reviews

This new series is perfect for: fans of urban fantasy, action & adventure, cool science, evil corporations, forbidden romance and hot new classmates who may or may not be aliens.

Excerpt – Thorne

“Intoxication with technology is the hallmark of an underdeveloped society.” Beauregard the Great, Instructions for Visiting Parallel Worlds
After spending hours on guard duty, I can finally leave Mass General. Soon I’m tooling my hoverbike toward the outskirts of the Boston Dome. Overhead, a cloud-free sky is projected onto the plasma. Tall buildings loom around me in a maze of chrome and concrete.
An image appears in my mind. Meimi—I never even think the false name Wisteria—lies curled on her hospital bed, drugged up and asleep. Every instinct in my soul says I should’ve stayed behind and guarded her while she rested. Not an option. An important appointment is coming up, and I can’t miss it.
For Meimi.
Of course, Godwin—my boss and Meimi’s doctor—doesn’t know I’m leaving the city. Then again, the doctor doesn’t know a lot of things about me.
Like the fact that I’m not from this planet.
Plus, I’m not just any alien. My father’s the Emperor of the Omniverse, the universe of universes.
So what Godwin doesn’t know about me is quite a lot, actually.
Meimi doesn’t know much, either. To begin with, she doesn’t remember that I’m her transcendent. Even worse, she thinks I’m in league with someone as evil as Godwin. Not to mention that I’m part of a government creating an apocalypse for anyone who isn’t perfect.
Bands of sorrow tighten around my chest. There’s no avoiding the truth. Meimi sees me as her enemy. I straighten my spine. But being her enemy? That keeps my girl safe. So that’s what I’ll no do, no matter how much it tears at my soul.
