Keeping 6

She seems equally surprised but that quickly turns to anger when the annoyingly handsome FBI agent seems to have her confused for a criminal.

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . THE ROCK POINT COLLECTION . . . Direct quote from the collections blurb, "The Rock Point series chronicles the stories of each of the agents of the La Plata County FBI office. These books will take you on a wild ride of romance, danger, passion, and betrayal.  Durango, Colorado has never been more adventurous and exciting." With this all said you are in for a treat of suspense, romance, intrigue, each story gives you something different. With each new story you will fall that much more in love with the LA Plata County FBI office. Each agent offers something distinct and unique."

Keeping 6

Special Agent Damian Gomez walks into a small  store looking for coffee and finds Kerry Emerson. There was something familiar about her. He just could not pinpoint it. Kerry on the other hand had no issues with remembering where she knew him from. The two do not start off on such a good footing, but that soon changes with varying circumstances. Through the whole story we learn what the phrase 'Keeping 6' means. We watch the two become closer and we see how things add up for the current case.

There are some good characters here both primary and secondary. We are introduced to various team members and their specialties. We meet a strong determined family. We see a future leading lady at her worse. I found "Keeping 6" to be a wonderful adult read with adult content and adult situation.

Cabin 12

EMT Bella Greene happens to be Special Agent Damian Gomez little sister. Special Agent Jasper Greene is under Damian Gomez command. Bella finds him to be a bit narcissistic. Jasper thins her to be a spoiled high maintenance snob. But that all seems to change with the departure of Damian on his honeymoon and the first officer being killed. There banter becomes more with late night check-ins, dinner, a rescue, a kiss, and then its off to the races.

As the two become a bit more acquainted with each other, their prospective begins to change. And Bella is in more danger. Is her caring heart? Is her EMT training? Is the cop killer? As it all comes to head there is something more lingering in the background. Will they figure it out before its too late? Angst, drama, intensity, suspense, getting all the pieces to fall into place was unfolding in its own time. All the skills of the local FBI office will be used to find out what really started it all.

I found that "Cabin 12" was much more than two people getting past their preconceived notion of the other. This was a case that had been drawn out for years with many people involved. There was more than just one path. Watching them follow them all allowed for a connection to the story and the characters.

HWY 550

Special Agent Luna Roosberg is going undercover with Arrow’s Edge MC President Ouray. She fears nothing or no one. She is strong independent and finds out that she is more than that young woman that first came to this country years ago.

Ouray finds contentment in rubbing Luna the wrong way. He also finds contentment in rubbing her the right way with time. Both are put in a situation they could have passed upon but circumstance insist they work together to make things happen.

Lies, secrets, deception, mistrust, assault, robbery, and a lost deaf child brings them all together in different ways. How could one child have a connection to Luna's past? This will be a story in the making for over twenty years. Who is trying to bring down the Arrow's Edge president?

We get answers to many things. We get an better introduction to a group of men, boys, and an organization that will have its own set of stories in a different series from FB. I come back again and again to FB stories. She tell stories of the world around us all. Grown up circumstance with life challenges. Romance in today's world.

10-CODE

We have meet both of the characters in this unfolding story. Marya Berger was in book one of the series. She has not had it easy. Life had hit her hard for a few years. Now, a few years after meeting her we see her in a struggle with want and desire to be attracted to Special Agent Dylan Barnes. Dylan was briefly mention in book one and two but we did not meet him more fully until book three of the series.

Marya was attracted to a man several years her junior. Dylan was not just younger but also a single father. Both had a child on the same soccer team and had more run-ins with each other.  Exposing them to the chemistry right before them. Besides having a case involving missing young boys, Dylan's ex was in town. Not just in town, she was working with him. Meeting Marya did not go so well. One does not walk away from the encounter.

10-CODE had so much more than a couple and romance. It had mystery, connection, family, children (all boys), and unthinkable sacrifice. If you get through the whole story and you heart strings are not in danger of being pulled, you did not read the same story I did.

*****

As a collection the excitement was able to continue on with the various couples and the intrigue behind each case introduced with each new couple.
